Get to Know Emma & Emily

I love the content that is being produced by Emma and Emily for the business Cloversocials. The content is practical but most importantly engaging, that is why the Tug was over the moon to interview the ladies.

The tug x Cloversocials

Describe yourselves in one word

Emily: Creative

Emma: Passionate

How did you meet one another?

We met on our induction day for college. We were put into a group for icebreaker activities. We didn’t know that we were going to be in the same class until a few months later, and we hit it off straight away! There hasn’t been a day since then that we haven’t spoken!

What made you decide to start clover socials?

We did a creative degree, and we didn’t know what kind of job we wanted to go into after we graduated. However in our second year of uni we had a project that involved working with a client on their social media and marketing and we loved it! We knew then that’s the path we wanted to go down, so we started creating clover socials during our final year at uni, and once we graduated we put all of effort in and haven’t looked back!

What services do you provide?

We provide a range of social media services from full social media management, to one off social media audits, content creation and editing and photography!

What type of clients do you work with?

We don’t have a particular “niche” like a lot of social media managers. We work with everyone! We find it more fun and creative to work with a range of different businesses.

Is this your full time job or side hustle?

We are lucky enough that it’s currently our full time job!

What do you hope for clover socials?

Our goal eventually is to become an agency and create a team with lots of different people with lots of skills so we can take on more projects!

Who have you worked with so far?

So far we have worked with healthcare businesses, start ups, a banking app, a theatre, artists, aesthetic clinics and lots of hospitality businesses!

How did you pick your brand name and colour?

Our brand name came to us pretty quickly as we wanted it to be something with a nice little meaning and clover means lucky, which we have been so far :)

Our brand colours used to be green and pink however we recently went through a change to red and pink because Emily’s favourite colour is pink and Emma’s in red and we wanted it to reflect our personalities! We are colourful people so we wanted our logo to mirror that.

Do you have a website?

It’s currently in the works! A lot of people say that having a website was really important however we found that we gained clients without one. Though since our rebrand in January we have been looking to set one up to showcase our portfolio.

What advice would you give someone who’s struggling with their social media.

Audit!! Audit you account, see if it’s obvious what you are offering at one glance, if your content is relevant to your audience, check out your competitors and see what’s working for them and how you can improve.

What has been your greatest achievement so far?

The fact that we have built something together that we love and has become our full time jobs :) we’re so grateful!

What advice would you give to an aspiring social media manager?

“Just start!  You will learn and grow along the way but you just have to start, that’s the hardest part. Set up your accounts, practice making content, learn as much as you can and never stop! :)” â€‹
